An unusual Japanese map, not of Asia, but of the "Current war situation in Europe". Japan was allied with Germany, so they had an interest in how their ally (Germany) was doing in their war in Europe while Japan was fighting a war in China.    It's dated September 15, 1939. the date is shown (in Japanese,) in photo # 8.  Photo # 8 (and the last photo) shows the map was made by the Osaka Mainichi Shimbun (Osaka Daily Newspaper) 
The condition is very good. There are folds, but none of the folds have broken. There are no tears. 
It's 21 x 15 1/4 inches.   We have been selling Japanese antiques for 23 years. We are shipping from Los Angeles.
