This beautifully detail molded sheep figure originally sat atop a weather vane
which is missing now. It is a nice size about 10 by 8 inches. It must have
been painted along with the house it sat upon twice, first white and then
green. I usually like old paint, but this was so blotchy it really looked
bad. So I carefully chipped the paint away to reveal the original aluminum
casting which shows the quality of the workmanship that went into its
molding. It now could be used again on a weather vane. There are two holes
in its base for attaching it. Or it could be used as an attractive and unusual
country accent. I don't know the age, but I would guess 1930-50. It weighs 1
1/4 pounds.
